I suppose this is a bit of a practice for my exams next week, but with some informal stuff thrown in for fun .

For a while now I have been searching for a host that offers everything I really need for my website. A nice array of features: cPanel 11, MySQL and the ability to have a high amount of email addresses and sub-domains.

After using over 5-6 different hosts since 2002, I’ve found that Vlexo is just such a warming, and dedicated community that cater to everything I really need. The packages are effective, evenly sized and maybe if branded well to the people who are new to webhosting, would attract a high amount of new users. I have always told people that I use free hosting, and they are amazed that I can get the features that I can for free.

The Vlexo forums is another great resource for tips and tricks on how to improve coding and different guides to photoshop design, and also a place to chill out and talk to people on the shoutbox…and also to get your arse handed to you by Jon the CEO of Vlexo in a game of Helicopter in the arcade.

So far I rate Vlexo Hosting a big fat 8/10, with the down-age of MySQL and servers going up in smoke recently, it has let my mind lower the score; but now with new servers and the problem out of the window, it looks like I will be staying with Vlexo for a longer time to come.

Highly recommended for the free hosting cherry on top of your website cake.

Well over the past few days Transisco’s site has got a tonne of changes, including this blog I have just been beavering away trying to get things working, trying to improve things. I have found recent emails from people saying the blog is amazing and all but I want to register and login to comment, how do I do that!

Well I have been updating it and now you have this cool bar above the blog header and it will let you do all of your commenting needs. I have updated the RSS and cRSS feeds to feedburner. You can get the blog subscription here:

Stuff like that. Also a recent update to the blog means that when you click on a picture it does this really cool backout effect where it just blacks the blog out and shows the picture.

There has been more changes with my host…for example this blog is now running on MySQL .v5 and is fantastic. The blog has improved speed and what’s more has improved with more features.

Also I have updated the pages on Transisco with new Creative Commons, so everything is under fair use. Also remember to go and sound off on the forums at http://transisco.freeforums.org/
